Until now, we’ve refrained from speaking out. The company we built has been looted, while our own earnings are insufficient even to cover legal fees. As our reward, we were summarily fired and cut off from our life’s work - the world of Elysium. After five years of gruelling work we released Disco Elysium, a game beloved by millions. Needless to say, it has been a very difficult time for us. Both civil claims and criminal charges are on the table - in Estonia and the United Kingdom. We are now in the process of reviewing our legal options. This is hardly surprising given that Tõnis Haavel, who we believe to be the ringleader, has been convicted for defrauding investors on a different matter in 2007. We believe that these actions - which in our view, and the view of our lawyers, amount to criminal wrongdoing punishable by up to three years imprisonment - were perpetrated by Ilmar Kompus and Tõnis Haavel with support from Kaur Kender, another minority shareholder. Money that should have gone towards making the sequel. We believe the money used by Tütreke OÜ to buy the majority stake was taken illegally from Zaum Studio OÜ itself, money that belonged to the studio and all shareholders but was used for the benefit of one. We have now learned that Tütreke OÜ must have obtained control over Zaum Studio OÜ by fraud.

Our firing came weeks after we started asking for documents and financial data, which is still being kept from us. As soon as they became majority shareholders, we were quickly excluded from daily operations, our employment was terminated and our access to the company’s information was shut off. The same can not be said for Kompus and Haavel. As long as Linnamäe remained the majority shareholder, we were confident that the company’s financials were in order and that all shareholders were being treated equally. Tütreke OÜ is a vehicle for two Estonian businessmen - Ilmar Kompus and Tõnis Haavel.Īs minority shareholders our rights are limited.

In 2021, Linnamäe was bought out by another minority shareholder, an Estonian company Tütreke OÜ. The majority of this company’s shares were initially held by Margus Linnamäe, an Estonian businessman and investor who provided the initial capital. Our stake in the game exists in the form of minority shareholdings in an Estonian company called Zaum Studio OÜ, which owns everything related to the game. We are Robert Kurvitz and Aleksander Rostov - the game director and art director of Disco Elysium. (FROM ROBERT KURVITZ AND ALEKSANDER ROSTOV) While the ‘collage’ effect of the tool does mean that the scene is inherently static (you can’t create an animation or anything like that), the landscapes retain any 3D properties they have in the game, so characters can be positioned behind props and items like swings will sway in the wind.TO FANS OF DISCO ELYSIUM, CONCERNING THE SITUATION AT ZA/UM You can add this to scenes and input dialogue for each of your characters, allowing you to create an ‘authentic’ Disco Elysium scene. My personal favourite addition, though, is the dialogue reel that runs down the left-hand side of the screen. You can also add effect filters, like rain, snow and fog, or a frame around the scene, to add the final touches. A collection of stickers, including cute emoji-like faces or items of clothing, can then be layered over the scene. Characters can be set in a large variety of poses, and even rescaled to tiny or huge proportions. The tool is pretty simple to use, with drag-and-drop controls that allow you to easily place items in the world. Think of it as a fan art tool rather than an in-game camera and you’ll be on the right track.
DISCO ELYSIUM FAN ART FULL
Instead, Collage Mode gives you full access to every character, location, and effect used across Disco Elysium’s story, and allows you to create a scene from scratch. Unlike a photo mode, it is not a system to take screenshots of moments within the game.
DISCO ELYSIUM FAN ART PC
Launching today on PC and coming to consoles in the coming days, Collage Mode can be found on Disco Elysium’s main menu.
